The Busselton Jetty is home to one of only five underwater observatories in the world! Ride the electric Jetty Train 1.7km out to sea, and take in the 360-degree views across Geographe Bay. Then, take a tour through the Underwater Observatory at the end of the Jetty. Experienced guides will lead you through the natural wonders that lie beneath the Jetty where its piles has created Australia’s greatest artificial reef, and is host to an awe-inspiring “forest” of vividly-coloured tropical and sub-tropical corals, sponges, fish and invertebrates. Descend 8 metres beneath the water’s surface to view more than 300 individual marine species in their natural habitat through eleven viewing windows at various levels within a 9.5-metre diameter observation chamber.

Around the Park
Did you know our park is nestled among 7 acres of mature Peppermint trees? These trees form the natural habitat for the endangered Western Ringtail Possum. We are privileged to be able to help nurture the continuation of the species and have erected many “houses” in the trees for them to shelter in the day. Being nocturnal creatures, the best time to spot them is at night when they come out to feed and frolic. We encourage you to bring a torch and see how many you can spot – pro tip: look out for their white tipped tails!
