With so much water around, you’d be right to assume that the fish here are a-biting. Well-known as a reliable spot for Golden Perch, Trout and Redfin, keener anglers come here in search of the elusive Murray Cod. Once playing host to the richest fishing competition Australia has ever seen, Go Nagambie 2019 put the region back on the map as a top spot to cast off, so you should expect some company. Bear in mind as well that a local fishing license is required, but these are always available from the park office.

Few venues encapsulate the spirit of Nagambie like this little beauty. Situated in the heart of the town and offering spectacular views of the lake, its menu of handmade brews, small-batch gins and heart-warming gastro-fare is as laid back and unpretentious as the people who make it. Multiple split-level decks provide the perfect vantage from which to while away the day, as well as a timely reminder of why you left the city. Highly recommended.
