South Australian Country Music Festival

People might come to the Riverland for canoeing along the Murray or tasty local tipples, but the country music festival in Barmera is worth the trip. Adelaide Beer and BBQ Festival

Festival of Voices

How magical is a choir? If you love raw, unedited music, then you’ll want to visit Hobart for the Festival of Voices. Best yet: you can even join in. The event is famous for the singalongs around the bonfire and the chart-topping artists. Take part in one of the many workshops in gospel, Samoan music, a capella and more.

Beef Week in Casino

Staircase to the Moon and Night Markets

Up the north-west coast of Western Australia, align your trip with the Staircase to the Moon. This extraordinary phenomenon is one for the bucket list. On only certain days of the month for part of the year, when the full moon sits above the water, the glow across the ocean looks like there are stairs climbing up the big cheese in the sky! Curds & Way Cheese Festival

Echuca Steam Rally

One of the longest running events in the region (56 years, in fact!), steam enthusiasts head to the Murray over the June long weekend. Over 500 exhibits of vintage machinery and cars to ogle at – a real treat for those who love history. This is an all-ages event, and the annual fundraising initiative by the Rotary Club of Echuca Moama with proceeds going to a local charity of choice.
