The river is beautiful, but the paddlesteamers aren't the only thing to see in this neck of the woods. You'll find honey mead ready to be sipped, rich heritage, old cars, and cycling trails.
Discover our top things to do in Echuca-Moama and Albury-Wodonga (because there's plenty more to see other than the Murray!).
Top 3 things to do in Echuca-Moama
1. Trails galore
Hire a bike (for free) from Port Picnic Bike and cycle your way through the local trails. The area boasts some of the best off road bike tours in Victoria. We recommend opting for the more relaxing pedal pace through picturesque bushland. If you’re more of an adrenaline junkie, the Five Mile Mountain Bike Track in Moama is an exhilerating ride through great big red river gums.
2. National Holden Motor Museum
Echuca is home to the National Holden Motor Museum, with over 40 cars and rare memorabilia. Take a stroll through Australia's largest collection of Holden cars. Nostalgia will hit you right in the nose and you'll love every minute of it.
3. Sweet goodness
We reckon heaven is a punnet full of strawberries. The Big Strawberry, just over an hour’s drive from Discovery Parks - Echuca is a great day out for the whole family. Venture out for a day of strawberry picking, and then reward yourself for all of your hard work with strawberry pancakes and strawberry sundaes!

Top 3 things to do in Albury-Wodonga
1. Day Trip to Beechworth
Beechworth is a small town with character out the wazoo: historic architecture, wineries, and gold-mining heritage. Head out to Woolshed Falls and Beechworth Gorge for a swim and some great sightseeing. But you can't drop into Beechworth without tasting the honey mead at Beechworth Honey (there's one that tastes just like raspberry sorbet).
2. The Bonegilla Migrant Experience
Go back in time and see the first homes of the 300,000 migrants who were misplaced in Europe after the Second World War. Today, Bonegilla provides insights into post-war migration and refugee experiences, as well as honouring contributions made by migrants in the ongoing formation of our multi-cultural society. Bonegilla is great history lessons for adults and kids.
3. Picnic at Lake Hume Dam Wall
The backdrop of our park is the serene Lake Hume. A visit to the area calls for a picnic by the dam - a major water supply to the area and holds about six times the amount of water as Sydney Harbour. If you get bored of lying down on a picnic blanket eating sangas, then grab your line and go fishing!
