We don't have a sweet tooth, you do! We are only here to taste every bite of every favourite camp dessert that is out there. It's just a job and someone has to do it.
Do you often find yourself searching for that little sweet pick-me-up at the end of a meal? Chocolate bars melt easily on the road, and aren't as good as cooking up dessert together with your crew.
In the camp or cabin kitchen, whip up one of these chocolate-drizzled, cinnamon-flavoured, ice cream cone-filled desserts that wait in your future.
Pan-fried Cinnamon Bananas
recipe & image: One Little Project
Rich in nutrients, bananas are a healthy addition to any meal. Covered in butter and sugar, they're the happiest health food you'll ever shovel into your mouth. From four simple ingredients, you'll get this from pan to plate in ten minutes tops. Eat the bananas on their own or with vanilla ice cream.
Delicious Apple Dipper Sticks
recipe & image: iSave A to Z
This treat reminds us of days at the carnival. Chocolate here is essential, but GO WILD with the topping. Hundreds and thousands, nuts, shredded coconut, M&Ms and crushed oreo bits are all perfect for the occassion. While the recipe calls for Granny Smiths, we're leaning on the side of a crisp Royal Gala.
Dessert Cones
recipe & image: Center Cut Cook
Why are ice cream cones so satisfying? We try to tell ourselves we'll opt for the cup like an adult, but here we are again with ice cream dripping down our hands without a care in the world. Try this ooey goodness on the grill or in the oven. Nix the ice cream and fill it with marshmallows and chocolate. Top it off with peanut butter and you have yourself a spot on cloud nine.
Strawberry Brownie Skewers
recipe & image: One Little Project
And the crowd goes wild: brownies! These are such a quick dessert to make and require no cooking and little preparation. Store-bought brownies will do the trick, and any skewer any fruit that your heart calls for (although strawberries really are the winner here). Want more zing? Try a drizzle of caramel sauce.
Dirt Mousse Cups
recipe & image: Oh Nuts!
"What are we having for dessert, mum?"
"DIRT!"
That is exactly how that chat will go and they'll be excited as can be about eating worms, too. Oreos as the topping, chocolate mousse in the middle, and a few lollies peaking through. Use sour gummy worms and snakes, and replace Cool Whip with thickened cream.
Microwave Chocolate Mug Cake
recipe & image: The Craft Patch
A craving you can fix with a microwave and a few basic ingredients. This chocolate mug cake can be in your mouth in a minute, getting rid of that hankering chocolate craving you have had all night. For more chocolate lava - melted and gooey in the middle - put in the microwave for about 30 seconds. If you want the cake, make it 40.
